Quality of Inks Matters - Ink smudging can be influenced by the quality of inks used. Different brands employ various ink technologies, and using non-original or generic inks may affect print results. Consider using high-quality, original inks designed for your inkjet printer model
Choose Pigment-Based Inks for Durability - for long-lasting and UV-resistant prints, opt for pigment-based aqueous inks. These inks are known for their superior durability and color stability. Look for inks marketed as "Archival Quality," as they are typically pigment-based
Recommendation for Smudge-Free Printing - to avoid smudging, try reducing the print quality settings as a test. This can result in the printer using fewer inks, allowing for better drying and potentially minimizing the risk of smudging
Specialized Coating for Waterproofing - while aqueous inks offer a broad color gamut and vivid colors, they may not be waterproof without additional measures. Consider applying a specialized coating after printing to enhance water resistance
